Bowery Boogie reports that the production is scouting for an apartment. Most interesting is that Stanley Tucci is included in the cast. How did they spell Tucci right and screw up Watson?

Stanley Tucci and Emma Watson want so badly to film in your apartment. Let them in. Common knowledge, of course, to anyone living on the Lower East Side where scouting flyers for Your Voice in My Head have been plastered rather ubiquitously. We’ve seen them from the edges of the Bowery as far east as Essex Street. And some are already vandalized. Only problem is, there seems to be a typo – “Emma West” is not in the movie…

Anyway, location scouts are scoping the neighborhood for a “residential loft apartment with a dark interior ambiance but with large windows and a fire escape … in an older building.” Shooting is planned for three to four days in early November, and compensation is available.

Your Voice in My Head is an adaptation of the Emma Forrest memoir, and will be directed by Francesca Gregorini. The story involves a young bi-polar English woman “living the fast life” in New York City, and the selfless psychiatrist who helps save her life.

Acting Auditions has released the casting call.

Ruby Films and Benaroya Pictures are in pre-production on the indie feature film “Your Voice in My Head”, and the casting directors have sent out casting calls for lead and supporting roles. Although shooting will take place in New York City, principal actor casting is taking place in talent-rich Los Angeles for the starring roles. Additional casting for general extras and featured background actors will take place in New York throughout production. “Your Voice in My Head” is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed Emma Forrest memoir. Principal photography gets underway on November 4, 2013.

“Your Voice in My Head” centers on British-American journalist Emma Forrest. In a story based on true events and set against the backdrop of the 2008 Presidential race, Emma is a young British expat living in New York City and volunteering for the Obama campaign while she struggles to break free of a toxic relationship and make sense of her Bipolar disorder. Emma finds herself in the chair of a thin, balding, and gifted psychotherapist, Dr. Rosecan – who would wrench her from the dangerous tide after she tried to end her life. When Dr. Rosecan dies shockingly at the age of fifty-three, Emma drifts and her romantic relationship also falls apart. Emma is forced to cling to the page for survival and regain her footing on her own terms.

Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winner Francesca Gregorini will direct “Your Voice in My Head” from an adapted screenplay written by Emma Forrest herself. Gregorini is an Italian-American director who co-directed the coming of age independent film “Tanner Hall” with Tatiana von Furstenberg. That film is loosely based on their own experiences during adolescence, with fictional events intertwining the story. Gregorini recently produced, wrote, and directed the 2013 feature film “The Truth About Emanuel” starring Jessica Biel.

Academy Award nominee Alison Owen will produce for Ruby Films, where she is Founder and Managing Director. Owen’s Oscar nod came for producing the 1998 film “Elizabeth” starring Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush. She also won a Primetime Emmy Award for executive producing the 2010 HBO movie “Temple Grandin” starring Claire Danes and Julia Ormond. Also producing “Your Voice in My Head” is Independent Spirit Awards winner Michael Benaroya of Benaroya Pictures. International Film Trust (IFT), the recently-launched division of Benaroya Pictures, is selling the project internationally in Toronto. CAA is repping domestic rights.

Emma Watson has signed to star in ‘Your Voice in My Head’ …again. Filming will begin on November 4 in New York.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the story.

Toronto: Emma Watson Teaming With Francesca Gregorini for ‘Your Voice In My Head’ (Exclusive)

Emma Watson has signed to star in Your Voice in My Head, the adaptation of the Emma Forrest memoir that Francesca Gregorini will direct.

Academy Award nominee Alison Owen, a producer on the upcoming Saving Mr. Banks, and Benaroya Pictures’ Michael Benaroya, whose credits include Lawless and Margin Call, will produce the drama, which will start shooting Nov. 4 in New York.

Watson was loosely attached to the project a few years ago when it was set up at Warner Bros. with Harry Potter director David Yates. Yates left in 2012 and Watson followed soon after, with Emily Blunt next being associated with the project.

The project moved out of Warners and is now on the independent track. And Watson is back with Gregorini, the daughter of famed Bond girl Barbara Bach, who co-helmed the Rooney Mara coming-of-age drama Tanner Hall.

International Film Trust (IFT), the recently-launched division of Benaroya Pictures, is selling the project internationally in Toronto. CAA is repping domestic rights.

Head tells the story of a young woman living the fast life in New York who attempts suicide before being saved by a selfless psychiatrist who is hiding the fact he is dying of cancer.

Forrest, a novelist and journalist repped by CAA and Casarotto and Associates, wrote the script.

Watson, repped by WME and UK’s Markham Froggatt & Irwin, recently appeared in Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring and cameoed in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s This is The End.

Gregorini, repped by CAA and the Schiff Co., also directed and co-wrote Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes, which starred Jessica Biel. Tanner Hall premiered at the 2009 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival.
